Wow, wow, wow! Ok, one more WOW! Seriously though, this food is WOW worthy! Our good friends told us about the Be Market in Lake Bluff, IL. A vegan market that offers gourmet comfort foods that promote wellness and a healthy lifestyle. In addition to the packaged foods and groceries, there is an awesome dine-in or take out menu!

Our good friend, Eric is an avid BBQ smoker, like non-vegan BBQ smoker. But he raved about the jackfruit BBQ sliders at Be Market. You heard us right, jackfruit BBQ sliders. We have to admit we were a bit skeptical but again, wow! If you did not know these were meatless, you would have been shocked to find out. These are a MUST try when you stop at Be Market. Not only are they vegan they are outstanding in flavor and texture!

Vegan Pizza Done Right

If you’ve had vegan pizza you know it’s hard to get it perfect. But let us tell you, Be Market does it perfectly! This pizza was beautiful, delicious, and 100% plant-based. From the spinach artichoke to the Margherita, you can not go wrong, it is amazing how much flavor is packed into this pizza, and can we take a moment for the crust!

Great Wine, Great Beer and Komboucha on Tap

The market inside carries a great line of wines, beers, spirits and yes they even have kombucha on tap! If we could be so bold, we would recommend the Ron Rubin Chardonnay, Russian River Valley 2013, and perhaps Marc’s favorite new beer, the Hallow Double IPA from Half Acre. Both were exceptionally tasteful and refreshing for a warm summer night out with friends!
