How Good Could That Really Be?
Have you ever looked seen something on Instagram and it looked so simple and delicious, that you had to ask yourself, “How Good Could That Really Be?” Well, we came across these two-ingredient bagels and we just had to find out for ourselves, how good they could really be!
We both grew up eating quality bagels, Marc at Bagel and Bialy in Chicago and Melissa in the mecca of bagels, right in NYC!
Guess what they are actually pretty good for what they are!
Ingredients
1 cup self rising flour
1 cup non fat Greek Yogurt
1 egg beaten with a splash of water
sea salt, black pepper, sesame seeds
Preparation
Mix the flour and yogurt together, after it comes together, knead it for a minute. If you find the dough is too sticky just add some more flour. Divide into four equal parts, form a hole in the center with your finger to create a bagel shape. Put the 4 bagels on a parchment-lined sheet pan. Brush them with the beaten egg and sprinkle your salt, pepper, and sesame seed mixture on top. Bake at 375 for 20-25 minutes!
We must say the addition of salt on top is a must! It really brings out the flavor and gives them a bit of balance. These would be great to make a sandwich on or just toast up with some flavored cream cheeses!
You should definitely give these a try! To more about these easy bagels, check out our Instagram post and our highlight tab, “HGCTB”!
